YAH organized a colorful reception program
 
 
 
 
On 7th July, 2008 Youth Against Hunger (YAH) has been arranged a reception program of about 400 students achieved scholarship at primary, junior high school level and stood GPA-5 in S.S.C/Dakhil examination in Kaliganj and Boda

In Bangladesh, winning a scholarship at primary (grade five) or at junior high school (grade eight) level or achieving GPA-5 in S.S.C level has been considered as an indicator of the "intelligence" of a student. This is a dream of any bright student every where in this country.

In both areas it was a colorful assembles of the students, teachers and their parents. It was also a great reward for the students. In Boda Upazilla, the program was held on Organic Agricultural Farm of Hunger Free World at Baloram Hat village. Upazilla Nirbahi officer Mr. Sarwar Alam has inaugurated the reception program as a chief guest and distributed certificate and souvenir among the students. And also upazilla social welfare office, Agriculture officer and along with other respectable person were present at the event. Dr. Zafar Ikbal, renowned writer, and Chairman, department of the Computer Science and Engineering, Shahjalal Science and Technology, Sylhet has pleased to sign at the certificate which is a very remarkable incident for students.

In Kalignaj the program organized on the same date at HFW office in Balidapara. Mr. ATM Asraf Kahan, Managing Director of Mobarakganj Sugar Mil Ltd. was present as chief guest hand over the certificates among the students. A group of distinguished persons such as Principal of Mahatab udding digree college, Editor of local newspaper "Nabachittra:, Secretary of Kaliganj press club, Ataur Rahman Miton, country Director of Hunger Free World were present and delivered their speech and inspired the students.

Earlier, Hunger Free World appealed to the various organizations to support at the reception program. We are thankful to many organizations/institutions who expanded their hands to support those students by providing published materials, books, pen, pencil etc. We are very much delighted to receive their contribution. This is a real reflection of their heartiest love for our village students. The names of the organization / institution are given bellow:

2. Scholastica School- Donating 400 pen, pencil, erasure,
sharpener, scales etc.
3. Maple leaf international school- 400 pcs pen and pencil

6. World Food Program- Published materials.
7. Hasab- Awareness raising materials for HIV/AIDS
